Explore your Glasgow

Glasgow…once named the UK’s friendliest city, is renowned for having plenty to do and is a very popular spot to visit for a weekend getaway.

Apart from its stunning architecture and rich history, it is also known for having plenty to offer in terms of nightlife, shopping, entertainment, and restaurants.

However, anyone who lives there will most likely know all of this and may even be on the look out for something new to try for a change, and that is where we come in.

We have spent time researching this amazing city in the hopes of putting together a collection of the most unique and exciting, less-known Experience Days, that even the locals won’t know about in the hopes of giving every Glaswegian the chance to explore their own city for a change!

What Glasgow ‘VIBE’ are you feeling?

With such a diverse range of experiences available on traditional Experience Day sites, it can often be a bit overwhelming to be met by page after page of very different products.

To try and make the search for the next thing to do in your city nice and easy as possible, we have split our findings into 4 distinct city vibes.

Fun with Friends

Why follow the crowd and simply ‘grab a drink’ with your friends when you’re due a catch up? Do something exciting and completely different for once and you’ll be able to look back on it together in the future.

For example, you could take a friend to The Perfume Factory, and you could both have a go at being mixologists and blending your own perfume/eau de toilette which you can then take home and use over and over again.

Original date ideas

A date night doesn’t simply need to consist of a fancy meal and some flowers. Why can’t it include strapping yourselves together and jumping off a ledge from 160 feet in the air?

Alternatively, instead of a boring night in a hotel, what about an eco-break where you can spend some quality time together at a whole host of charming B&Bs and Hotels, but you can also take part in conservation activities and have a positive impact on the environment.

Let the Celebrations begin

With life constantly throwing us new reasons to celebrate, our initial thought is always a big party or night out, but why?

Apart from the fact that you can never usually remember those drunken ‘celebrations’, they rarely leave you with many lasting memories. However, if you were to be a little spontaneous and choose something completely different, say like a 25-mile helicopter tour over Glasgow, then surely all of those wonderful photo opportunities and the stunning views will give you amazing memories to look back on?

Something a little extraordinary

If you take a magnifying glass to Glasgow as we have done, you are sure to find a whole host of completely unique Experience Days that the locals most likely never even knew were on their doorsteps.

For instance, everyone has heard of an afternoon tea, but not everyone knows that setting off from the centre of Glasgow in an old converted 1966 red Routemaster bus that offers some very unique variations of a tradition afternoon tea. Take in the sights of Glasgow whilst enjoying a tipple and heaps of delicious food with the Red Bus Bistro Gin Afternoon Tea
